2026 Australia–China Energy & Mining Supply Chain Forum Draws Strong Industry Engagement in Perth   - Parmelia Hilton Hotel 9th March 2026

The 2026 Australia–China Energy & Mining Supply Chain Forum was successfully held on 9th March 2026 at the Parmelia Hilton Hotel, attracting around 100 senior government representatives, industry leaders and technical experts from across the energy and mining sectors. The event provided a high-level platform to discuss opportunities, challenges and collaboration across the Australia–China energy and mining supply chains. 

 

 

The forum opened with remarks by Hon David Michael MLA, delivered on behalf of Premier Hon Roger Cook MLA, highlighting Western Australia’s energy and resources policies and the State Government’s strong support for advancing Australia–China industrial cooperation.  

 

Her Excellency Ms Lihua Fu, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Perth, conveyed positive signals for Australia–China energy cooperation and encouraged deeper engagement and collaboration between businesses from both countries.   

 

Ms Ma Li, Secretary-General of the China Chamber of Commerce for Petroleum Industry (CCCPI), also deliver a keynote address on the international expansion of China’s energy equipment industry and opportunities for deeper global cooperation. 

 

 

The event featured a distinguished lineup of speakers including Dr David Sun (Honorary President, CCCA Perth), Mr James Clarke (National Director, Australia China Business Council & President, ACBC-WA), and Ms Bernadette Cullinane (APAC Vice Chair, Deloitte; Past President & Life Member, Energy Club of WA), shared global perspectives and valuable insights into the evolving energy industry, drawing on her extensive experience and industry leadership. 

Technical and market perspectives were presented by Dr Yan Yang (Director, Energy Technology Research Department, CNPC ETRI), Mr Anish Philipe (Senior Market Analyst – Energy Supply Chain, Rystad Energy), and Mr Yogesh Desai (Technical Manager, DNV), who discussed global energy trends, supply chain dynamics, and the role of technical standards and assurance in supporting safe and reliable energy development. 

The forum also welcomed Hon Pierre Yang MLC and attracted senior representatives from leading organisations across the energy and mining value chain, including Chevron, Shell, CNPC, CNOOC, Santos, Wood, Kent, Rio Tinto, Technip Energies, DNV, SLB, Mineral Resources, Hancock Energy, Fortescue, KPMG, Western Power, Kongsberg and Long Energy & Resources, etc. 

The strong participation and positive feedback from attendees highlighted the value of the forum as a professional platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange and industry networking, reinforcing the importance of continued collaboration across the Australia–China energy and mining ecosystem
